Coaching Staff

Cody Aden – Head Coach

Cody Aden from Puyallup is in his 10th season coaching baseball. His experience includes 3 seasons at Puyallup High School, 4 seasons with Seattle Studs 2014-2017. In 2018 he joined the Texas Rangers Baseball Operations Department and continued on as pitching coach for the Spokane Indians (affiliate of the Rangers). In 2021, Cody was a pitching coach for Milwaukee Brewers Minor league team as Pitching Coach in 2021.

Stephen Potter – Assistant Coach

Stephen Potter began his association with the Studs in 1985, making it official when he took over ownership of the team in 1986. In 1991 he gave up ownership to start the PIL with Steve Konek Sr. Steve returned full time in 2006 and is now Assistant Coach.

Chris Remington – Assistant Coach

Chris Remington joined the Studs staff in 2019. He currently serves as Studs Assistant and First Base Coach. Chris was inducted into the Washington State Coaches Hall of Fame in 2018 after a 16 year career in officiating. He currently resides in Puyallup with his wife, Nicole and his daughter, Anna.

Tegan Aden – Pitching Coach

Tegan Aden is entering his 4th season in a Seattle Studs uniform. Prior to this season, Tegan pitched at Puyallup High School, Everette Community College and the Seattle Studs. Tegan is currently committed to Pacific University Forest Grove Campus. Tegan will return to pitching there as he is recovering from elbow (Tommy John) surgery . Tegan joins the Seattle Studs coaching staff during his rehabilitation process.

Kyle Sutherland – Assistant Coach

Kyle Sutherland graduated in 2008 from Issaquah High School, where he earned 1st Team All-King Co and All-State honors, was voted Team MVP in 2008, and was part of the 2007 3A State Championship team and 2008 team that finished third in State. After high school, Kyle played ball at Edmonds Community College for two seasons before accepting a scholarship to play at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he majored in psychology and minored in business. Kyle played for the Studs from 2012-2017 and was part of 2013 and 2015 1st place finishes in NBC World Series. He has been coaching at Newport High School since 2013 as well as New Level 360 since 2018 as Catching Coordinator. Kyle is also the proud founder of Catchers Compass
